Weaving traditional Celtic music together with songs and world instrumental pieces, this quartet effortlessly spins out fiery reels, jigs, original songs, both humorous and haunting, offering culturally rich stories and music from around the world, including Celtic, Bluegrass, Folk, Mexican Polkas, Eastern European and Scandinavian tunes, Americana/Appalachian and even a little Texas Swing! The entire band sings, from well-crafted original songs to "celticized" versions of contemporary songs ranging from 1930's music hall songs to stunning a cappella pieces.

Tania Cordobes

Cordobés delivers an eclectic, acoustic-based sound that is fun and accessible on the first listen. Her style is based on American folk and Cuban, with additional influences like bossa nova, flamenco and samba. Tania's original material combines beautiful melody, syncopation and soulful lyrics that embody her Cuban-American heritage. Her voice and the unique instrumentation of her band are perfect in any venue, from festivals to listening rooms.

Cora Connection

David Gilden plays the kora, a 21 string harp from West Africa. He first heard it played in 1978 at the Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC. At the time, he was studying piano and jazz composition at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. After graduating from Berklee in 1980, he focused on the kora. Since then Dave has performed across the U.S. and has released several recordings that have been featured on NPR and on radio stations throughout North America. Dave's unique musical style withe kora presents a unique fusion of not only West African traditions but Folk, Blues, Celtic, Latin music and other styles.
